SPANISH POLICE have confirmed that a phone call was received from a man saying he had information on the whereabouts of Madeleine McCann.
According to Portuguese newspapers today (Friday, June 8), the call made Kate and Gerry McCann delay their flight to Amsterdam from Berlin on Wednesday (June 6) afternoon. Apparently, police took the call seriously due to the large amount of detail the man gave about the case.
Also in Spain, a freelance reporter, working with El Mundo newspaper, said he had information about the abduction of Madeleine.
Antonio Toscano informed the Spanish and the Portuguese police that he knew a person who claims to have met a man, convicted of previous paedophilia crimes, who was in the Algarve region in May.
