A kind of ‘Airbnb portal for pilgrims’ has been launched by the Sanctuary of Fátima to “facilitate life for those who wants to stay in one of (the sanctuary’s) residences of retreat, or hire out a space for events”. Explain reports, according to the sanctuary, there has been an “increase in demand for the kind of accommodation that offers the different and unique experience of sleeping in a sacred place”.
