A Spring Fair in the “unique atmosphere” of the gardens of São Brás Museum is taking place on Sunday, May 6, from 11am to 5pm.
Organised by Amigos do Museu, this is one of their intercultural events incorporating foreign communities living in São Brás de Alportel and its parishes, giving them the opportunity to get acquainted with local traditions and customs.
You will find Persian sweets, hand-painted English postcards, German bread, Dutch book, and typical Portuguese art and handicrafts. There will be something for everyone on offer, including cakes, jams and marmalade, different types of bread, aromatic oils and spices, and special teas.
Also on show for sale there will be jewellery, flowers and plants, traditional and contemporary art and handicrafts, pottery and ceramics, and exclusive designer fashions.
As in previous years, there will be a Bric-a-Brac stall and raffle to raise funds for the abandoned animals of São Brás. The money will be used in spaying, neutering and rehoming initiatives.
Food, snacks and bar available all day.
Entrance is free.
