The American coffee brand reinforces its presence in the Algarve with the opening of its third store in the region.
American coffee giant Starbucks is opening its third store in the Algarve – its 31st in Portugal – on August 8 at Portimão’s Aqua Shopping Centre.
Located on the 1st floor of the shopping Centre, the 51-square-metre shop, which can seat 12 customers, will offer its first 100 customers a unique branded gift designed for this opening.
In line with the brand’s “Openings with a Cause” project, which aims to support various social causes, the opening day’s proceeds will be entirely donated to “Catraia”, a temporary shelter for children and young people at risk in Portimão.
“We are very excited to reinforce our presence in the Algarve. This is the third store we have opened in the region, located in an important commercial area of Portimão.”
“This location is seasonally visited by thousands of tourists who already know our brand, so we believe this store has great growth potential and will be a success among residents and tourists who visit the region.”
“We intend to continue investing in new stores in the country, to be where our customers want us to be”, says António Romero, general director of Starbucks Portugal and Spain.
Since its founding in 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company has been committed to ethically sourcing raw materials and producing the best Arabica coffee in the world. With stores worldwide, the company is currently the world leader in coffee roasting and distribution.
