The service centre at the Social Security headquarters in Lisbon is closed today due to the strike by technical assistants, which is also affecting consultation and examination services at the S. João Hospital in Porto.
This is the second of a three-day civil service strike. The greatest impact is expected on Friday with the strike by operational assistants.
Public and Social Service Workers are calling for negotiations to begin immediately and for a review of the pay statute before 2027, the year set by the government for the start of the review process for civil service careers.
