The Strings & Things Band is “back on the road again”. The talented, multi-instrumentalist Howard Scott Parkin is back in the Algarve for three weeks and he intends to make the most of it to raise much-needed funds for the Salvation Army.
He has rounded up his troops and the Strings are “excited” to announce that their first show of three will be on Saturday, August 31 at the MO’H Irish Bar in Olhão from 6pm.
Hosts Mike and Charlotte are providing a barbecue meal and “maybe even some of their famous thick chips if we’re very lucky”.
All are welcome for a night of music and dance – “and don’t forget, it’s all to give a little bit back to this beautiful country we enjoy so much”.
Another concert will then take place on Sunday, September 15 at The Hairy Lemon in Tavira at 4pm. Cost is €15.
Details of the third show are yet to be announced.
