Developer says landmark sale shows commitment to preserving site’s natural heritage
Algarve real estate developer Carvoeiro Branco has announced the “successful sale” of the 127-hectare Boca do Rio property to the Municipality of Vila do Bispo, describing the “achievement” has a “significant milestone in fostering collaboration between public and private entities”.
Says the developer, the sale demonstrates “how partnerships can unlock new opportunities for regional growth and development in the Algarve. This landmark sale reflects an exceptional moment of mutual understanding and collaboration.”
Carvoeiro Branco, through its subsidiary BDR, has transferred the ownership of the property to the Municipality of Vila do Bispo, a transaction the developer says shows “commitment to preserving the natural and historical value of the land while setting the stage for its future potential”.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Municipality of Vila do Bispo and Her Excellency the Mayor for stepping in as the ideal custodians of this extraordinary land. Additionally, we acknowledge and thank the municipality’s archaeology department for their expertise and unwavering dedication throughout this process,” said Carvoeiro Branco in a press statement.

This property holds immense potential, and we are confident in the Municipality’s ability to develop it. The developer concluded by saying “this chapter marks the beginning of a new era for the property; its story is far from over”.
