There will be live music every Wednesday night in Alcoutim in July and August
Alcoutim will be hosting a series of summer concerts in July and August as part of its ‘Alcoutim ComVida’ project.
Taking place every Wednesday night at 10pm at Praça da República, the concerts aim to breathe life into the usually sleepy riverside town during the busy summer months.
“With a variety of musical styles, ‘Alcoutim ComVida’ will guarantee entertainment for people of all ages and tastes,” the local council says in a statement to the press.
The concerts begin next Wednesday (July 3) with a performance by Talego, which will bring its brand of traditional Alentejo music to the Algarve.
Here are the following scheduled concerts:
- July 10: 3AM (Pop Rock)
- July 17: Fernando Carvalho and the Tropical Sounds (African/Brazilian)
- July 24: The Mirandas (Pop)
- July 31: Melissa and Sara: ConVida (Pop/Fado)
- August 7: Vibe Section (Pop Rock)
- August 14: Cantigas do Festival (Portuguese Music)
- August 21: Sonido Andaluz (Latin/Pop)
- August 28: Música no Teu Tempo (described as a broad selection of several musical styles to “conclude the event in grand style”)
