The “Swim for Shoes” initiative that sees dozens of people brave the cold seas in Armação de Pêra for charity is again taking place this festive season.
There will be two opportunities to “Swim for Shoes” where participants take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean and help to raise money for Algarve children who are in need of new shoes.
These will be on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day at 11am on the beach in front of the Holiday Inn Algarve.
All you need to do is turn up with swimwear, towel and go in for a full swim or just a paddle. Then everyone who takes part can recover in the Holiday Inn Bar and enjoy a Hot Bomba on Christmas Day and hot chocolate on New Year’s Day.
Buying shoes for the children who are in care is an ongoing expense and event organisers want to help as many as possible start 2015 with a new pair of shoes.
As this is a charity event, all donations offered will be gratefully received.
