TAP has 30 days to respond to former CEO’s almost €6 million claim for unfair dismissal

Portugal’s ‘flagship airline’ TAP has been cited in the civil case taken out for unfair dismissal by former CEO Christine Ourmières-Widener. This means the company, in the throes of privatisation, now has 30 days to respond to the claim for €5.9 million – an amount Ms Ourmières Widener set, saying no decision can erase the suffering and “enormous personal and reputational damages” caused. This case entered Lisbon’s central civil court last month.
