Portugal’s national airline, TAP, had a record quarterly net profit in the three months to September, at €180.5 million, for a nine-month profit of €203.5 million, according to information released by the State-controlled company today. TAP sa the third-quarter profit was a €69.2 million improvement on the third quarter of 2022 and €179.4 million more than in the same period in 2019 – before the Covid-19 pandemic. CEO Luís Rodrigues said in the company’s press release: “ “We are taking solid steps to improve the robustness of our operations and the quality of the service we provide to our passengers, accelerating the recovery from the last two difficult years.”
