Tavira creates animal charity bank

The Municipal Council of Tavira has launched a new initiative to help people and families in need care for their pet animals.

Officially named Bank of Goods and Essential Services for Animals, the initiative allows donations of everything from food to beds, blankets and other pet-related items at local parish councils and municipal councils establishments at Casa André Pilarte, Fonte Salgada and Rua da Liberdade.

Information on how to request help or offer to be a collection point for the campaign is available online at www.cm-tavira.pt
