Tavira council has announced plans to build a new bridge over river Gilão.
The structure will replace the town’s military bridge, constructed 26 years ago as a “temporary” solution to keep traffic flowing after a flood damaged Tavira’s old Roman Bridge.
The project is in the hands of A2DP Consult – Estudos e Projetos, Lda and will cost nearly €32,000.
