Still pondering whether to return to the political fray, former PSD governor of Madeira Miguel Albuquerque has seen the annual rates bill on his seaside property used for purposes of AL (tourist accommodation) increase from €99 per year, to €531. Reports explain the property was subject to an ‘updating’ earlier this month, coincidentally in the wake of the investigation that brought down the archipelago’s PSD executive.
