FENPROF, the national federation of teachers representing the nine syndicates fighting for better salaries, terms of employment and ‘respect’, has announced its members will be out in force during the election campaign, to ensure no parties ‘forget’ what they have been fighting for for endless months (and years). Both main parties have stressed they WILL ‘unfreeze’ the six years, six months and 23 days the current government refused to own up to – but teachers are concerned there could be selective amnesia once the new government has been formed.
