Teaching union FENPROF and seven other syndicates will be staging a ‘camping protest’ outside the Lisbon headquarters of the education minister from tomorrow until Friday. The objective of the three-day protest is to persuade the government to rethink proposed changes to the hiring of teaching staff, and return to the negotiating table. The national teaching federation and STOP (syndicate of all teachers) are not involved in the camping initiative as they have already set their own dates for further protests.
