Until August 13, the “Vinhos do Tejo na Praia” initiative will give beachgoers the opportunity to taste nine wine references from the Tejo region.
For the seventh consecutive year, the Vinhos do Tejo na Praia initiative returns to the Portuguese beaches, bringing a selection of wines produced in the municipality of Almeirim.
This initiative will cover several beaches until August 13, allowing holidaymakers to discover and taste fresh, fruity wines ideal for the summer.
In the Algarve, the Vinhos do Tejo delegation will visit the beaches of Lagos (August 3 and 4), Praia da Rocha (August 10 and 11), and Olhão (August 12 and 13).
Organised by the Tagus Regional Wine Commission in partnership with Almeirim City Hall, the initiative aims to promote the region’s wines.

The Vinhos do Tejo caravan will offer nine wines, including six white wines and three rosés, from four producers in the municipality of Almeirim: Adega de Almeirim’s Cacho Fresco white and rosé (€2.19) and Obelisco white and rosé (€2.59); Falua’s Conde de Vimioso Colheita Selecionado white and rosé (€4.90); Fiuza’s 3 Castas white (€3.29); and Quinta da Alorna’s white (€4.10) and Fernão Pires (€6.10).
In addition to wine tastings, the initiative includes activities for the whole family. For the younger audience, there will be non-alcoholic gifts such as frisbees, decks of cards, fans, umbrellas, inflatable cushions, inflatable balls, and straw hats. These items can be won by playing a lucky wheel. Participants will also be able to participate in funphoto sessions with the Tagus Wines on the Beaches theme.
