Aderita Artistic Space in Vale do Lobo hosts exhibition until February 29
A new exhibition by artist Ana António Gill will be exhibited at Aderita Artistic Space, Vale do Lobo Shopping, from February 2 to 29. Her works explore the complexities and sheer beauty of “being human” while observing the world around us.
Ana António Gill completed her studies at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, where she graduated with honours in Drawing and Urban Art. Her artistic expression encompasses a variety of forms, including painting, sculpture, installation, and performance.
Discussing her work, Ana António Gill says: “My paintings draw on how every experience, as insignificant as it may seem, makes a mark on our lives, and together builds a picture of who we are and how we see the world.”
For Ana, art is seen as a cathartic process for the artist and offers the potential for a pleasurable coincidence of like-mindedness with the viewer. A moment that may connect with another’s reality.
Having lived and worked in London for 20 years, Ana is now based in Portugal. She has exhibited in London and Portugal.
The exhibition’s private viewing takes place on Friday, February 2 from 5.30pm to 7pm. The art exhibition will be open to the public until February 29. Monday from 2pm to 6pm and Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free.
