Nationally produced and 100% eco-friendly, the new detergents available in bulk at Lagos Intermarché come with a refill option
The Intermarché group continues their quest to present more sustainable and conscious options to its customers, now in the form of detergent sold in bulk. “We really wanted to bring this project to life because we are the first large-scale retailer to have this product in bulk,” says the Lagos supermarket’s management.
Made from used cooking oil, these detergents give waste a new life and come from the Portuguese brand ExoX which has partnered with Lagos Intermarché and shares their values of sustainability, proximity, innovation and transparency. “We want to be the reference brand of innovative and sustainable solutions from waste,” says a representative of EcoX.
The Portuguese brand also makes clever use of resources by reusing ingredients and packaging and reducing the use of primary resources. It also invests in the conception of these products, which are not tested on animals, making them 100% environmentally friendly. These detergents are also completely biodegradable and shoppers at Lagos Intermarché can even refill them. Simply purchase the individual, one-litre bottle you want and, after using it up, fill it up again at the hypermarket with the respective product.
