Refresh your look for firm, radiant, hydrated skin with an outstanding glow
Text by Dr Shirin Samimi-Fard (German Specialist Centre Carvoeiro)
Maybe you have started getting worried about your facial skin and feel that it is ageing. Or perhaps you are troubled by thin dry skin or skin laxity, or think you have ended up with sagging skin, with sun/ age spots and the accumulation of couperose. Quite possibly you have made several countless attempts to improve your skin hydration, by using topical moisturising cremes, external face masks, drinking a lot of water and taking food supplements that contain, for example, collagen, but only with limited and/ or moderate results. When you look in the mirror and when you touch your skin, you still see and feel that your skin is dehydrated, rough, and that your skin elasticity is not what it used to be. Don’t despair, as for refreshing overall glow and get skin firmness back, we are able to offer our patients in the German Specialists Centre the holistic and synergistic Triple Therapy.
The signs of ageing
Our face and body go through quite a few changes as we age. There are several criteria we could summarise in the ageing process:
- Bone resorption;
- Loss of facial fat compartments;
- Collagen/ hyaluronic acid loss;
- Loss of the elasticity of the ligaments;
- Reduced blood circulation;
- Accumulation of sun, age spots and couperose/ telangiectasias.
This all contributes to the signs of ageing we experience, such as sunken cheeks, loss of facial contouring, facial volume loss, thin and dehydrated skin, uneven multicoloured skin texture/ tone with no glow.
What is the Triple Therapy?
The Triple Therapy is a combined treatment method of different aesthetic procedures for achieving synergistic results (1 + 1 = 3) and to create an overall aesthetic harmony. Our goal is always to achieve a youthful, smooth, natural (and not artificial) look.
What are the components of Triple Therapy and why is the method so beneficial?
The Triple Therapy consists of the combinded use of natural biostimulators (skin firmness, skin elasticity), skinboosters (skin glow, skin quality) and the use of the Photo Fraxel laser (for reduction of spots and couperose). Let’s have a closer look at each one.
Component #1 – natural biostimulator (Sculptra®):
- Sculptra® improves the quality, volume and thickness of the skin by stimulating collagen neogenesis.
- Sculptra® renews the skin structure. It creates the structural foundation to restore a younger appearance and improves quality, volume and tone.
- Sculptra® stimulates collagen production as a biostimulator deep in the skin and induces the natural regeneration of lost collagen. By stimulating the body’s own natural collagen production, the effect of Sculptra® unfolds gently and gradually. The collagen content in the skin is gradually rebuilt.
- Sculptra® works naturally.
The end result is clearly visible in firmer, smoother skin, with significant improvement in skin elasticity, skin radiance and skin smoothness.
Component #2 – skinbooster:
- A deep moisturising mask working from the inside.
- Skinboosters are able to retain moisture in the deep layers of the skin, thus achieving a long-lasting hydration of the skin, and an improvement in its elasticity, in the structure, and in the glow of the skin.
- They are also great in improving acne scars.
Component #3 – Photo Fraxel Laser for:
- Facial wrinkles, skin rejuvenation, improvement in the skin texture (pore size).
- Age sun spots, pregnancy spots, pigment disorders.
- Reduction of couperose/ telangiectasias.
- Acne scars and surgical scars.
- Scars after permanent hair removal, burn injuries.
- Chronic photodamage.
- Stretch marks
The Triple Therapy is so effective with the holistic approach, because we are able to improve all the different criteria of ageing. On one hand, we can reach and target all layers of the skin effectively, and on the other we can improve the deficits of each individual patient. This gives us the opportunity to offer our patients individual and specially tailored integrated treatment plans with a high-satisfaction rate.
For further detailed information, we are, of course, at your disposal at the German Specialist Centre Carvoeiro, in the Algarve. Our dermatologist, Dr Shirin Samimi-Fard, has been specially trained in this effective treatment method through training and further education.
