It is the summer of 1983 and England is submerged in the sub cultures of Mods, New Romantics and Skinheads.
Shaun is 12 years old and lost during the long summer holidays until he meets Woody and his fun and friendly skinhead gang. Shaun makes new friends, takes on the fashions and buys a pair of Doc Marten boots.
His idyllic summer is interrupted by the arrival of the bitter, racist Combo, who challenges the ideals of the gang and brings in the influences of racism and xenophobia.
