A story that barely cracked the surface this week centred on alarmist measures shared over Tik Tok warning of ‘massacres’ being prepared for Portuguese schools. As a result of the messages, a number of parents kept their children home from school. Now the ‘perpetrators’ of the campaign have been identified by the PJ. They are five under-age (for criminal prosecution) youngsters. None have been involved with the law before, nor do they show ‘extremist tendencies’. For the time being, the episode is being treated as “a joke in bad taste”.
