British band Tindersticks led by the charismatic singer Stuart Staples are coming back to Portugal for two concerts at Coliseu do Porto on October 27 and at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on October 28.
Tindersticks sound is characterised by orchestral backing, lounge jazz, and soul and the baritone of lead vocalist Stuart Staples are the band’s hallmarks. They augment their instrumentation with Rhodes piano, glockenspiel, vibraphone, violin, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, bassoon, Hammond organ, and many more.
They are going to present their latest album released this year, called Falling Down a Mountain, which is dominated by the band’s whimsical, playful side, a usually dormant but altogether delightful aspect of their character.
