The five-star Tivoli Carvoeiro Algarve Resort will host the third Chaminé Film Weekend, which aims to provide a different kind of movie-going experience.
Co-organised by the municipal council of Lagoa and BerLiner Creatives, the event will begin with the screening of documentary ‘Concentrados’, by José Vieira Mendes, at 8pm on Friday, May 31. The following evening (Saturday, June 1) will feature three short films, starting with Portugal’s Oscar-nominated short film ‘Ice Merchants’ at 7pm, followed by Spain’s ‘Anticlimax’ at 8.15pm and Portugal’s ‘Play with my Mind’ at 8.45pm.
Joaquim de Almeida, one of Portugal’s most successful actors, having appeared in several Hollywood productions, will be in attendance as a speaker at the event, alongside Pedro Lopes, Director of Content at SPi, and Portuguese actress Lia Carvalho.
