Today (Thursday) sees the final round of negotiations between the government and teaching syndicates which have been levelling various forms of strike action since December. According to reports, “there is still no agreement in sight”. Syndicate leaders doubt the education ministry will cede to their various demands, or even get near them, thus they are already reported to be “promising” an announcement later today on “new forms of protest”.
