The revenue of tourist developments in Portugal rose 9% in the third quarter of this year, to €2.5 billion, the AHP national hotel association announced today, highlighting the growth trajectory in the summer, despite signs of slowdown since the beginning of the year. “During the summer period, tourist developments registered 10.2 million guests (+4%), accompanied by 28 million overnight stays (+3%) and 2.5 billion euros in total revenue (+9%),” the association said in a statement, based on data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), Bank of Portugal, Turismo de Portugal and ANA airports authority.
