Faro and Nice to be linked by Transavia in July and August
Dutch low-cost airline Transavia will be running a summer route between Faro and Nice which will begin on July 18.
“With two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays, the new route between the two sunny cities in the south of Portugal and France will operate during the high season of July and August,” the airline announced in a statement.
Tickets are already for sale on Transavia’s website with prices for one-way trips starting at €26.
“We are very proud to launch a new route to/from Portugal, one of our most esteemed and strategic markets on a global level. The new route between the two cities which live off the sun and stand out for their stunning beaches is also a celebration of the different cultures and idiosyncrasies that exist throughout the Mediterranean,” said Nicolas Hénin, Chief Commercial Officer of Transavia France.
He added that Nice is becoming an “increasingly important base” for the Transavia network, which is why this new route “fits in perfectly” with the airline’s focus on its development in the region.
