Twelve people had to be assisted after being affected by a toxic chlorine gas cloud at the pool of the Falésia Mar Hotel in Albufeira on Thursday, October 10.
The cloud apparently formed when hotel staff members were pouring the chlorine into the pool.
Three people were taken to Faro Hospital while another two were assisted at Albufeira’s basic emergency services unit. The others did not need further medical care and were assisted at the hotel.
