Two further high-speed ‘narco launches’ (boats used by drug traffickers) were seized on the high seas off the Algarve coast yesterday in a combined operation involving Maritime police, the Navy and Air Force. Nine suspects were arrested, all them Moroccan. This time, the boats did not have drugs on board, but were carrying a large number of jerrycans full of fuel.
