Two legs of human body wash up on Matosinhos beach

Two legs of a human body washed ashore at Praia do Aterro, in Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, on Thursday afternoon.The alarm was raised at 1.10pm. According to commander Rui Lampreia of the Douro port captaincy, it was impossible to identify the victim’s gender. The legs were “covered in black clothing”. They have now been sent to the institute of forensic medicine in Porto. PJ police are investigating.
