Two Portuguese men working on a construction site near Guarda were killed on Monday when a wall made of large blocks of granite collapsed on them.
The victims, Carlos Alecrim, 55, and Joaquim Ramos Pires, 53, were assisted by emergency teams but died at the scene. António Ramos, Joaquim’s brother who was also working at the site, witnessed the accident and called the emergency teams.
