Two traffic related deaths per day during August

Almost half way through August and the dismal tally of fatalities on Portuguese roads has reached an average of two per day. Victims have included Peruvians as well as Portuguese – the most recent fatal accidents having involved a young motorcyclist and his Peruvian passenger in Peniche, and the president of a bikers’ club in Castelo Branco who was involved in an accident with another motorbike and a van on the A23 near Torres Novas.
