Good news came this week in the form of yet another drop in unemployment levels. The national institute of statistics (INE) reports that unemployment is now down to 11.1%. In numbers, this means Portugal has around 567,300 unemployed people in a workforce of 4,548 million. Numbers have been dropping since February, said INE, though the 11.1% level has remained ‘constant’ since June.
