The Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP) has called for “urgent intervention” by the government to resolve the situation of dozens of foreign students prevented from coming to study in Portugal due to delays in their visa applications. APESP said in a statement sent to Lusa that the Portuguese Consulate in Delhi “has dozens of visa applications pending from university students who want to enter higher education institutions” to pursue their master’s studies in areas such as physiotherapy, tourism, economics or civil engineering.
