Ursula Von der Leyen cancels trip to Portugal

European Commission president Ursula Von der Leyen has had to clear her diary for the next two weeks as she is apparently suffering from ‘a severe pneumonia’. She was due to be in Lisbon for the ‘Seminário Diplomático’ on Monday, which will be going ahead at the Museu do Oriente. Pneumonia is an illness of the lungs, usually caused by an infection, which triggers a range of flu-like symptoms, including a cough and fatigue.
