Vale do Lobo has announced its “exciting” 2024 summer music events programme, offering “memorable sunset evenings” and “grand open-air concerts” from June to September.
From Saturday, June 15 to September 7, the summer music events programme promises unforgettable evenings of rhythm and good humour, with options for all tastes and preferences.
From the engaging rhythms of jazz, fado and timeless classics, to samba and the vibrant sounds of world music, each intimate concert will offer a unique and unrivalled musical experience.
Two magnificent and emblematic open-air concerts will also take place at Parque do Golfe, honouring the legendary Elton John and the incomparable Bee Gees, promising unforgettable tribute evenings against the stunning scenery of the golf course at sunset.
Starting in June, Vale do Lobo will host a series of intimate music sessions at the Tennis Academy, held every fortnight on Saturdays at 8.30pm.
These sessions will feature top-quality artists and musical groups, providing captivating performances for all ages as the sun sets. With a bar service available and the option of dinner at the Ténis Café, these exclusive concerts are the perfect way to enjoy a summer afternoon with family or friends.
The concerts will take place in a specially prepared lounge area overlooking the tennis courts and surrounding pinewood. This relaxed and informal concept appeals to all family members and ages. The diverse musical programme brings together formations and artists of exceptional quality, including samba, fado, jazz and opera.
This year’s programme of summer events in Vale do Lobo will kick off this Saturday, June 15, with the intimate ‘Sunset Fado Serenade’ concert by artist Carla Pires, starting at 8.30pm. This event promises an evening full of soul and Portuguese essence, involving all those present in a unique setting of golden tones at the end of a summer’s day overlooking the tennis courts.
On June 29, ‘Guitars in Dialogue on Stage’ will feature the talented Amar Guitarra trio, creating a melodious symbiosis of string harmony that pushes the boundaries of style and form.
On July 12, the renowned Orquestra do Algarve, accompanied by the maestro Pablo Urbina, will bring a timeless story to life in a surprising Opera in Concert Version, entitled ‘Magic Flute | Opera in Concert Version’.
As one of the biggest moments of this summer, Vale do Lobo will also host the Elite Elton Band on July 27 for a grand tribute concert on the golf course to the legendary and unique Elton John. This emblematic tribute concert to Elton John promises to take you on a real journey through some of his greatest hits, in an unforgettable start to the evening, full of talent, good music and the best Pop/Rock ever.
In August, the intimate concerts continue at the Tennis Academy. On August 3, the Gringo’s Washboard Band makes its debut at Vale do Lobo with the show ‘Jazz under the Stars’, promising a truly captivating evening of rhythm, jazz & blues.
On Saturday, August 17, the artists from Samba Sem Fronteiras band will take the stage at the Tennis Academy with the concert “An Evening of Samba”, promising a captivating and unmissable show of rhythm and sound.
To conclude the series of musical concerts at Parque do Golfe, Vale do Lobo presents on August 24 at 7.30pm, a unique musical experience with a grand tribute concert to the Bee Gees, set against the stunning backdrop of the golf course at sunset.
The talented musicians of the band Saturday Night Bee Gees promise an exceptional evening in honour of the legendary group, offering an unforgettable musical journey through the greatest hits of the Bee Gees, such as “Stayin’ Alive”, “Jive Talkin'”, “You Should Be Dancing”, and many more!
Closing this year’s summer concert programme at the Tennis Academy, on Saturday, September 7, ‘Fado with Identity’ performance by the renowned fado singer Ana Laíns will present magnificent contemporary fado songs at sunset, in an evening with a lot of identity that promises to surprise.
