The Vila Galé hotel group is studying the possibility of installing its own desalination equipment at three hotels in the Algarve – Vila Galé Lagos, Vila Galé Albacora (Tavira) and Vila Galé Ampalius (Vilamoura).
Reports Observador newspaper, the group is planning to request the needed licences from environmental authorities soon.
The goal is to guarantee supply for its water needs in light of the Algarve’s ongoing drought, it adds.
