A wallaby discovered loose in the area of Aroeira, Almada, has been captured today following an operation by the animal ombudsman’s team, and Civil Protection. Now, the question is where did it come from? Who has been ‘keeping a wallaby’? Or has it escaped from a zoo? According to reports, the animal, showing various injuries and signs of dehydration, was captured “very calmly” with the use of sedation. It has now been transported to a “safe place” while officials nurse it back to health and try and investigate where it came from.
