Lisbonās Web Summit – considered to be one of the biggest technology summits –Ā kicks off today in Lisbon with a record 3,000 startups, more than 70,000 participants and around 1,000 investors expected. The event, which ends on Thursday, once again has Paddy Cosgrave at the helm (after the polemic prompted by remarks about Israel). Confirmed speakers include Lidiane Jones, CEO of Bumble, artist Pharrell Williams, Kuo Zhang, president of Alibaba.com, and Portuguese Prime Minister LuĆs Montenegro, among others.
