Webinar shares tips on moving to and thriving in Portugal

‘Moving & Living in Portugal’ will take place on July 18, with registrations open until July 16

A webinar providing invaluable insights and practical advice on relocating to and thriving in Portugal will be held on July 18 at 4pm (Portugal/UK time zone).

Organised by the Portugal Resident, as part of the Open Media Group, and the British- Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, the ‘Moving & Living in Portugal’ webinar aims to cover everything that those looking to move to Portugal need to know to make a smooth transition, whether they are considering a move for work, retirement or simply seeking a change of scenery.

The event will cover a wide range of topics, from the legal and administrative steps required during a move to Portugal (such as understanding visas, residency permits and necessary documentation) to housing and real estate tips for finding the perfect home, deciding between renting and buying and navigating the property market. Other topics to be discussed include Portugal’s cost of living, which will be explored through an overview of daily expenses, healthcare, education and lifestyle costs, as well as advice on Portugal’s culture and community, including integration into Portuguese society, language tips and cultural nuances.

Leading the event will be an expert panel featuring expats who have successfully made the move, as well as legal and real estate professionals, including Jorge Pereira, Director of Sales and Marketing Operations at Fine & Country Algarve; Luís Duarte, Expert in International Mobility at Global International Relocation; Ricardo Ferreiro, Attorney at Law at Martínez-Echevarría & Ferreira Lawyers; and Shelley Wren, Head of Business Development in Portugal at Sovereign. The webinar will be moderated by Bruce Hawker, CEO of Open Media.

Registrations can be completed online until July 16. After registering, participants will receive a confirmation email with detailed instructions on how to join the webinar.
