A six-year-old with a very short fuse caused panic at a primary school in Mangualde last week, forcing teachers to close down for the day and parents to come rushing.
It all began after the child asked another pupil if he could borrow a marker pen.
His schoolmate’s refusal led to the boy throwing all the chairs out of the first floor classroom windows, and then hurling objects around the room. Nobody could control him apparently, so teachers instead rounded up their charges and ran.
Parents were called to collect their children as the six-year-old was left to his tantrum in the vacated classroom.
Later, the child’s mother told reporters: “They have it in for my son.”
