I have been to the BMW Museum twice. It’s great. You can feel the passion those guys have for design, engineering and motorsport.
Apart from my wife and daughter – whom BMW has no reason to be passionate about – those are my passions too, so you can see where this is going.
There are many truly spectacular cars on display and one of them is the GINA. Apart from the questionable name – meaning Geometry in ‘N’ adaptations – the GINA was one of those unforgettable concept cars that could have only been dreamed up by Chris Bangle.
To me, he was one of the top guys who put BMW where it is today, the most important player in the premium segment, the envy of the automotive world alongside Ferrari and Porsche – is there a better compliment?

I don’t think there is another car where disproportion is such a great thing. That long bonnet is pure seduction, while the curves at the back together with the LED lights are plain gorgeous.
After four years the interior still looks sharp, and you will be surprised to hear this car rides really rather well. You will cross the Algarve from Sagres to Vila Real de Santo António without breaking sweat. And, this is important, oozing some style.
So, is this Z4 worth its basic price of €43,000? That’s up to you. Do you want to stay home and watch another soap opera or football match, or do you want to go out and enjoy life? After all, you do live in one of the best places in the world to have a car like this.
