Victim being treated in hospital
A young woman, described as “around 20 years old”, was doused in alcohol and burnt in an abandoned property in Setúbal last night.
The victim “managed to ask for help” at a restaurant nearby, and was assisted by PSP police and the local fire brigade.
She is currently interned at Setúbal hospital, where her condition has been described as “not life-threatening”.
The scenario nonetheless is being treated as an attempt at murder. PJ police worked through the night collecting any trace evidence that they could find. PSP agents “searched for suspects” but have not this far been able to identify anyone, writes Jornal de Notícias which ends its report saying there have not yet been any arrests. ND
