A 24-year-old woman was stabbed in the early hours of Tuesday morning when she tried to stop two men stealing her car. The victim was “preparing to enter the garage” of her home in Carregado, Alenquer, when the two men stood in her path. She got out of the vehicle, which was when the men advanced, intent on taking it, explain reports. In resisting, she was stabbed a number of times. The thieves then made off with the car. The young woman is now in hospital, with police treating the case as attempted murder.
