Donations aim to “recognise the vital work these associations carry out”
Guia theme park Zoomarine has donated €1,500 and much-needed cat and dog food to three local animal associations.
The donations were made to Pata Ativa, Pravi Albufeira and AGA Cat Charity on Friday, April 12 and aim to “recognise the vital work that these associations carry out and support them in the challenges they face,” the theme park said in a statement.
“It is important to value those who contribute daily to animal well-being and the protection and safety of several species. These associations have carried out commendable work, and despite having limited resources, they have tireless dedication and have already been able to support and provide a new opportunity to hundreds of dogs and cats,” said Hugo Brites, Zoomarine’s Marketing and Communications Director.
“We hope this donation will support their work and contribute to their recognition,” added Brites, challenging other companies in the Algarve to “join us and support the animal cause by delivering donations to these organisations or others with the same mission.”
Zoomarine aims to continue “promoting environmental education and animal well-being,” and thus encouraged its workers and visitors to join in and make their own donations as well.
