Zoomarine, Guia’s award-winning marine theme park, is seeking volunteers to join a clean-up initiative on Sunday, May 13 at the Armação de Pêra and Praia Grande beaches in the borough of Silves.
Volunteers are travelling down to the Algarve from all over Portugal, although the theme park is extending the invitation to anyone who wants to help make local beaches cleaner, safer and more environmentally friendly.
The goal will be to remove all rubbish that has been left behind by humans on the beaches, from plastic and cigarette butts to tin cans and abandoned fishing nets.
The initiative begins at 9am.
Contact the theme park for more information.
