Cavaco Silva has said that common sense solutions were necessary in implementing the abortion law.
The Head of State made his comments two days after the referendum on February 11.
“I hope that we look for good, balanced, well-thought out common sense solutions that can help unite Portugal on this issue. The possibility of establishing a broad consensus should not be rejected in a subject that could cause divisions in society.”
