THOUSANDS OF motorists driving through the 25 de Abril Bridge tolls on June 5 protested against comments made by the Minister of Public Works, Mário Lino.
The minister said that Portugal’s new international airport could not be situated on the south banks of the River Tejo because the area was “a desert”. From 7am to 9am, motorists beeped their horns as they passed through the tolls.
