Albufeira citizens have their fingers crossed for the recovery of seriously ill mayor José Carlos Rolo.
Mr Rolo was rushed to hospital last week with a respiratory infection. It has since been explained that he has double pneumonia (‘bi-lateral pneumonia’). The infection is ‘controlled’ but he remains in intensive care with a ‘reserved prognosis’.
As soon as there is any news, council sources promise to give it “certain that concern for (Mr Rolo’s) health is shared by all the town’s citizens”.
