Even one glass of wine per day could significantly increase the risk of colorectal cancer or bowel cancer, according to a major European study recently published in the International Journal of Cancer.
A total of 479,000 Europeans were studied, which showed that increased consumption of alcohol like wine and beer was associated with an elevated risk of colorectal cancer.
The results were based on a European study into cancer and nutrition, between 1992 and 2000, where participants were followed for an average of 6.2 years.
